WROMS is the City of White Rock’s own map, and it will tell you what a lot is zoned in three steps. The free check is not open in White Rock yet, so this page stops where the map does: at the zone code, and the bylaw to look it up in.

The zone code is under Lots, not under Zoning. The Zoning entry in the same list opens to a zone group, an OCP code and internal ids; on the lot we opened it did not show the code itself.maps.whiterockcity.ca · verified 2026-10-01
This is what it listed on 2026-10-01 for the property we looked up, which was not a house. A house lot’s may differ.
The address, folio, PID, plan and plan description; the lot’s size in square feet, marked approximate with a note to check the legal plan for the actual figure; and the zone code and description.
A zone group, an OCP code, a land type and an area in square metres. Not the zone code.
The start screen offers MyWROMS, City Map, Infrastructure Map and Property Map. The steps above use Property Map.

White Rock’s zoning bylaw is Zoning Bylaw, 2024, No. 2506, which the City says Council adopted on 27 June 2024. White Rock calls a second, detached home on a house lot a detached accessory dwelling unit, and gives garden suites and coach houses as examples.whiterockcity.ca: Bylaws · verified 2026-10-01 · whiterockcity.ca: Small Scale Multi Unit Housing · verified 2026-10-01

This page states none of those rules. We have not read White Rock’s bylaw line by line the way we have for the cities the free check covers, and a summary nobody checked would be worse than the link.
WROMS gives you the zone. It does not tell you whether a second home of the size that zone allows fits behind the house you already have, once setbacks and lot coverage are taken out. That depends on the lot: its width, its depth and what is already built on it.
White Rock says WROMS is compiled from a variety of sources, and that the City makes no promises about its completeness or accuracy.whiterockcity.ca · verified 2026-10-01
The free check is open in Burnaby, Coquitlam, Delta, Langley City, Langley Township, New Westminster, Richmond, Surrey and Vancouver. It is not open in White Rock yet: enter an address there and it says so, and offers to tell you when it is.
Use WROMS, the City of White Rock’s own map. Open WROMS and choose Property Map on the start screen. Type the address into the search box at the top and press Enter, then click the match that ends in “-Address”. The map zooms to the lot. Click the lot. Under Information, open Lots, then the address, then Property Details. ZONING is the zone code and ZONING DESCRIPTION its name, which links to that zone’s section of the bylaw.
Property Details in WROMS gives the lot’s size in square feet. WROMS marks it approximate and says to check the legal plan for the actual figure.
Property Details in WROMS lists it, with the folio and the plan.
It opens to a choice of map types with nothing to accept; its Terms of Use are a link on that first screen. That was the case on 2026-10-01.
